Forgiveness is the healing process for compassion.  It is an attitude and process to attain serenity and inner peace.  We can forgive ourselves, with acceptance, of our imperfections.  We are human after all.

To forgive another for the atrocities and cruelty imposed takes great courage and commitment.

Remember, first and foremost, the act of forgiving that person is for YOU!!  It allows you to be free from the memories and pain it brought to your life.

To move forward is to give up holding on to the past.

Stepping Stones to Forgiveness

Make a commitment to forgive.

Take time to write an unsent letter of hurt and one of forgiveness.

See the other person as a small child.

Ask God (Higher Power) for guidance.

Give up what thou hast - then throw out what you no longer need.  Now, receive freedom and forgiveness.
